Dilip Rathinasamy, MD

Dr. Samy is a Board Certified comprehensive ophthalmologist focusing on cataract surgery.  Having completed his pre-college education Brandon, FL, he went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami in 1998.  He then returned to the Tampa Bay Area for medical school and graduated from University of South Florida College of Medicine in 2003.  Thereafter, he finished his ophthalmology residency training in 2007 at the prestigious USF Eye Institute in Tampa, FL.  He has trained or worked at many area hospitals including Tampa General Hospital, Moffitt Cancer Center,  All Children’s Hospital, James A Haley Veteran’s Hospital, Bay Pines Veteran’s Hospital, & Brandon Regional Hospital.  In addition to the Advanced Eyecare Institute Dr Samy also works with USF ophthalmology residents at the James A Haley Veteran’s Hospital.
 
Dr. Samy is proud to serve the community he grew up in.  Throughout his training and career he has garnered recognition for his outstanding surgical skill and patient commitment.  Dr Samy is dedicated to making the Advanced Eyecare Institute the premier eye center in the Tampa Bay Area.
