About Us
We are Brandon Ambulatory Surgery Center, located at 514 Eichenfeld Drive, Brandon. Our state of the art facility was built in 2005. We have six fully equipped operating rooms, 20 pre and post operative beds and one of the largest surgical facilities in Brandon. A large comfortable waiting area is available for your family and friends to stay on-site during your procedure.
Why are we here?
Our Ambulatory Surgery Center was built by a group of physicians to offer patients the best surgical experience in the area. Our highly trained and specialized staff offer customized service to patients, with quality as our main focus. Because our physicians have greater control of their environment, we work efficiently, cost-effectively and safely. With quicker surgery scheduling and shorter waiting times, patients have a more convenient experience than in a traditional hospital setting. Our surgery center is also less expensive than a traditional hospital, which can save patients significantly on co-pays and deductibles. As of 2009, all free-standing surgery centers are paid only 59% of the Medicare rate for the same procedure performed in a hospital outpatient setting.
What services do we provide?
Brandon Ambulatory Surgery Center is a multi-specialty surgery center providing services in the fields of ophthalmology, otolaryngology, orthopedics, urology, endoscopy, general surgery, neurosurgery, GYN, pain management, podiatry and plastic and reconstructive surgeries. New state of the art equipment is provided for each specialty. Anesthesia is contracted with Associates of Anesthesiology with Dr. Rod Fitz-Randolph as the director.
Who can come here?
All patients are welcome here including pediatric, adult and elderly. Our surgeons and anesthesiologist work as a team to plan your surgical care; then, our specially trained staff of registered nurses, surgical technicians and ancillary team members work closely with them to execute and provide your custom plan of care. Each patient is reviewed with safety in mind; if a health condition is identified that cannot be handled safely in this environment, our team will redirect you to the appropriate setting for your needs.
How do you know you will get the best care?
We are accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, and we comply with Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Board of Nursing and Board of Medicine guidelines. We routinely survey all patients looking for ways to improve; as a result, we have maintained a 99% patient satisfaction rate since we opened. Our patients are our Number One priority!
Who are our Surgeons?
All surgeons are welcome, whether they are an owner or not. First, they must complete our extensive background and credentialing process. Next, our quality assurance team reviews the information, and, if they meet our criteria, then they will be welcomed to our team. After we grant privileges to become part of our medical staff, we ensure each surgeon’s case are reviewed by their peers and by our quality assurance team annually. All results are reported to our Medical Executive Committee and governing board for final approval. This review is completed as part of our re-credentialing process every other year.
